Feeling safe walking around day or night. The town’s vibe is mellow, not much nightlife but perfect for relaxing. Budget was lower than I expected, good value overall.
Hungarian influences in cuisine really stood out, loved the local markets. Some historic spots were pretty crowded, so plan early visits to avoid rush.
For a cheap meal, avoid places around the castle. Walk a block down and find spots where locals grab lunch for half the price.
Weather was unpredictable but ended up sunny most days. Food was hearty though a bit heavy after a while. Three days felt just right for exploring comfortably.
If you want to skip lines at Corvin Castle, get tickets online early morning. Also, local buses get packed mid-afternoon, best to travel early or late.
